Una buena relación médico-paciente es esencial para disminuir la ansiedad con la que se afronta la cirugía. El paciente debe confiar en su especialista. En relación al día de la cirugía, intentamos orientar al paciente del horario de la intervención, de dónde tiene que ir para el ingreso, con qué papeles tiene que acudir y si hace falta que venga en ayunas o no. Toda esta información ayuda a que el ingreso hospitalario ocurra sin sorpresas y disminuya el nerviosismo del paciente.
